Heron Pod

Resembling the traditional upturned boat shelter and offer lined and insulated accommodation for those who prefer not to travel ladened with tent, bedding and cooking equipment.

Heron camping Pod is located at the bottom of the campsite beside the communal area.

The pods are all 2.7m x 2m (8’10” x 6’6″ ) and were designed and built on the farm. They look out to sea through fully glazed double doors and provide an indoor/outdoor living option with their outdoor deck, very helpful for our changeable weather. They have a fire pit each – to be used with caution and not in windy weather .

Bicycles and vehicles can be parked discreetly beside the cabins and we have a shed available for bicycles if needed.

Bedding is optional, please add this as an extra when you book.

Please bring your own bedding/sleeping bags for one night bookings

The pod has two single Futon company futon beds – which can be put together as a king sized double –  two extra roll up futons  , two heaters, a small kettle, a lamp, blankets and hot water bottles.

The pods fit up to four people but we recommend two to three guests for more space.

Great place to start (and finish) a holiday. Get into the Orkney way of life - rolling fields, cows, sea, beaches, cliffs, and two of my favourite birds all over the place - oyster catchers & curlews. Not to mention a lovely place and location and fresh eggs for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the yurt was a bonus! Thank you.
